About e/Tablets and the Cancer Support Network

Hematology Oncology, P.C. is among the first community oncology practices in the country to use a revolutionary new symptom assessment tool called the e/Tablet. This portable, interactive tablet computer allows us to thoroughly assess your symptoms before you see your doctor. Each time you come to the clinic you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire using the e/Tablet. Your responses will automatically print out in a report called the Patient Care Monitor (PCM) which is given to your doctor or nurse. The report allows the doctor or nurse to focus on the symptoms that are giving you the most trouble.
The reports are part of your medical record and can help us keep track of your progress during and after treatments.

The Cancer Support Network (CSN) is a patient education system that allows you to use the e/Tablet to watch videos on a variety of cancer-related topics. The CSN is a source of information on cancer, symptom management, tests and procedures. Nurses, doctors and patients provide some of the easy-to-understand information. It is a wonderful way to find answers or to learn more about your illness. Please take a moment to browse the CSN after you have completed your questionnaire.
